WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO WAIT ON GOD'S TIMING?

OVERVIEW

What does it really mean to wait? Waiting means delaying action until a particular time or until something you expect happens. In this world where everything is instant, everyone is always in a hurry, seems it's really hard to stay patient and wait.

E.M Foster says:

"We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us."

Yes, I got it. I truly understand that it's hard and painful to let go of the things or people who became part of your everyday lives. However God wants to give you more, but how can He do that, if you have no room left to accept new things in your life. We must accept that there are things that God wants to remove in our lives so we can move forward and receive more. Just try to view it like this; someone likes to give you a bouquet of flowers but you still have withered rose in your hands. Somebody wants to give you an IphoneX but you still holding on to your old Iphone6 or Nokia.

What if there are far greater things ahead of you? Are you going to wait patiently for it or just settle for less, because you're too impatient now? I truly believe that God wants what's best for you and me. I believe that God can still restore you, God knows when you're ready or not, maybe He wants you to learn first and grow.

Once, I've read a story about a child who's really fascinated by the flowers that are starting to sprout in her mom's garden. Because it looks very beautiful, she picked the flowers out of her excitement and a little impatience. Her mom was too sad because she picked the flowers before it truly blooms. They would have seen more of its beauty if she had waited for it to grow.

Lesson learned! The story teaches us that there's more if we will just learn to wait. It will be worth the wait.

Joyce Meyer says:

"Patience is not simply the ability to wait - it's how we behave while we're waiting."

One of my favorite songs is called, "While I'm Waiting by John Waller". Lyrics go like this. "While I'm waiting, I will serve you, while I'm waiting, I will worship, while I'm waiting, I will not faint, I'll be running the race even while I wait." You can truly relate to the lyrics of this song, feels like this song is really made just for you! But in this song, I see a man patiently waiting and hoping for something, a man who's not wasting the season of waiting. I see a man who's working hard, who never stops believing and still doing his best to become better and deserving, until the right time comes.

I admit it's not easy, especially for someone who meant the world to you or to let go when it's already in your hands. Sleepless nights, thoughts running through your head, a lot of tears shed.

Well, I am the kind of person who wants to get what I want right away. Until God teach me how to wait and pray.

ARE YOU WILLING TO LET GO OF WHATEVER IT IS NOW THAT'S IN YOUR HANDS................

ARE YOU WILLING TO LET IT SLIP AWAY? IN ORDER TO FULFILL GOD'S PLAN IN YOUR LIFE?

YOU CHOOSE.

HERE'S THE THREE MAIN REASON
WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO WAIT ON GOD'S TIMING:

1. GOD WILL MAKE YOUR PATH STRAIGHT

   PROVERBS 3:5-6

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."

I'm always being reminded by this passage that I must not lean on my own understanding. It gives me a sense of confidence that God is sovereign in my life. So as we continue to believe and wait for God's perfect time, have faith that God is working for your good. You may not know but slowly you're heading to where God wants you to be. Maybe, you didn't recognize but slowly, you're becoming the person God wants you to be.

2. GOD KNEW YOU EVEN BEFORE YOU WERE BORN

   LUKE 12:7

"Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."

JEREMIAH 1:1

"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

Have you ever ask yourself, what's the purpose of your life? It says that you're already set apart and your life has a purpose! You are important to God. He knew you personally, your weaknesses and strengths, He also knew that you might get into trouble if you speed up on the things you're not yet ready to take. Will you believe me if I say, He knew you more than yourself? So why not trust His plans, why not trust the process? I declare, that He's in control! Don't fight your battles alone, talk to your Maker and surely He knows how to fix you- your broken heart.

3. GOD KNOWS WHAT YOU NEED

   GENESIS 2:18

"The Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."

I am still so amazed at how God created Eve for Adam. He knew that the man will be sad living alone. He understands that the man needs a helper that suits perfectly for him. If we will just realize that the Lord provides everything we need even if we didn't ask for it. Just like He gave His Son for the salvation of the world.

Maybe God is just protecting you. You're so precious to the Lord that He wants you to see your own value. And one day, when you're ready, He will answer all your prayers. Just keep going. Hustle while you wait. Improve yourself, be a better person, conquer your fears, find your happiness in Jesus alone.

FINAL THOUGHTS

You are loved by God. If He isn't planning to give you the best, He will not make you wait. Since He knows you personally (including your flaws and shortcomings) and what you want, you can rest assured that He will grant your prayers at just the right time.

If you don't rush and allow God to write your story, it will turn out better than you could have imagined.

Look at this passage in Isaiah:

ISAIAH 60:22
"WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT, I, THE LORD WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN."

THE RIGHT TIME WILL COME. AND ONE DAY, THESE THINGS WILL MAKE SENSE TO YOU.

ONE DAY, YOU'LL GET THERE.....

AND YOU WILL THANK THE LORD BECAUSE YOU WAIT FOR THE RIGHT TIME!
