DONT DIE ON THE PROCESS

OVERVIEW

"Lord, why has this been so painful?" Have you ever ask God this kind of question? Are you in anguish and in deep sorrow? I don't know what you're going through right now and how you are dealing with the pain but one thing I know for sure. It is not your destination! - PAIN. This term has many definitions, but here we're not talking about physical hurt or injury. We're talking about emotional suffering.

But don't you know that God is not the author of distress and suffering. And this is one of the targets of the enemy especially to the younger generations to destroy our faith. But don't you buy it! God works for your good. And maybe He allowed you to experience the pain because He wants you to go through the process. And God knows what you will become after.

Just like the butterfly! Before it became a beautiful butterfly, I believe you knew that it was once a pupa. It undergoes 4 stages to grow into an adult. Yes! Maybe for you and me, it's also a process! To be worthy enough for our breakthrough, to become stronger and bolder. It doesn't just happen overnight.

PTR. PAUL DAUGHERTY said:

"There's no shortcuts to any place worth going."

People tend to react differently when they're dealing with pain. I bet you know what I meant on this. When we can't cope with the hurt, it comes out in our actions, the way we think, speak, and treat others. That's why we better be mindful because unknowingly, we may be talking to someone who is going through something for whatever reason. You can see a person smiling, trying to act normal, and looks tough on the outside yet hurting on the inside.

I heard once a preacher said, we, humans are so good at pretending, hiding what we truly feel. When we don't want to be vulnerable in front of others. I guess that's the norm. I believe, once in your life, you did try to act like everything's all good, that you are living a 'problem-free' and a 'perfect life'. However, I believe that we can't fake it forever, it would exhaust us.

But there must be another way to ease the pain and receive healing, right?. When everything looks falling apart, have hope in God, and trust the process. Meditate on these words and believe that you are not alone. It says in:

PSALM 147:2

"He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds."

MARK 5:34

"Jesus said to the woman, “You are now well because of your faith. May God give you peace! You are healed, and you will no longer be in pain."

ISAIAH 53:5

"But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed."

WHEN SOMEONE IS IN DEEP PAIN, HE/SHE IS:

1. Always Angry --> That person is not a bad person really. However, due to the hurts, he/she couldn't contain it within. As the person indulges in the pain and not rest in the promises of God, that person will always feel miserable and rude.

BISHOP TD JAKES said:

"When you are used to being miserable you will provoke everything around you until you're miserable, you are self-sabotaging because what should've been a process, you are making permanent."

2. Oversleeping --> Have you ever feel so discouraged in life that you don't even want to get up. It seems that your excitement is gone, you're not expecting anything? Well, you might be in a battle all by yourself. No one knows, right? Hmmm, It happened to me a lot. And it's one of the worst feelings in the world, despair! However, do you know that in all of that, you are not alone? The Lord sees you. I believe He sees us down here. That's why God said:

MATTHEW 11:28

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

MATTHEW 11:29-30

"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

3. Uncertain/Doubting --> I believe that when someone is hurting, that person becomes very emotional. When we listen to our feelings and to what eyes can only see, we are lacking in faith. Doubt, fear, uncertainty, negative thoughts will try to its best to consume us.

4. Distracted --> That's right. Someone who's in deep pain is or may be distracted from their purpose. When all you can see is the 'crushing', you can never soar and live in victory.

Get yourself back! Focus on your purpose! And believe that this season will come to pass. The situation you're in right now is not permanent and will never be. God has a perfect plan for your life. Keep fighting. Keep believing!

HERE ARE THE 3 MAIN REASONS WHY THE PROCESS IS PAINFUL:

1. WE ARE BEING CORRECTED / FORMED

HEBREWS 12:10 (CEV)

"Our human fathers correct us for a short time, and they do it as they think best. But God corrects us for our own good, because he wants us to be holy, as he is."

And when we obey, it's not always easy. Why? Apostle Paul explains it well, He said in Romans 7:19, "For I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I keep on doing the evil I do not want to do." This is how we struggle between our fleshly desires and the will of God in our lives. The Lord wants us to live in righteousness however since we are still living in the flesh that which is contrary to the spirit, sometimes we sin, and therefore we need correction. Cause just like our earthly fathers, our Father in heaven loved us so much that He doesn't tolerate our wrongdoings. It says in:

HEBREWS 12:11 (NLT)

"No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward, there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way."

When we follow God's Words even if it hurts, it only means that we trust the Lord more than our senses, more than our feelings, more than what we see by our naked eye.

2. GOD WANTS OUR FULL SURRENDER

For instance, you just bought something that you badly want to have, it can be a new pair of Nike shoes, a new iPhone, or maybe just a cup of milk tea and a Mcdo fries. I don't know whatever it is. Let's just say it is something that really makes you happy. You're always thinking about it and waited the day that you'll finally have it. However, you were asked to hand it over to somebody who needs it the most. You were asked by your father, or you were convicted to do so. Will you surrender it? Will you choose to obey, be kind, and selfless?

I bet it'll be hard to give up what you already have right now in your hands. It'll be challenging for you to set aside your own happiness for the sake of others.

In life, the Lord may ask us to lay everything we have at the foot of the cross. Our ego, it may be an important person or simply anything that replaces the place of God in your heart. Yes, it may break your heart and it will be painful. It may sometimes make you feel miserable. However the God we serve said that His thoughts are of good and not of evil towards you, He wants to give you hope and a future, He does not want to harm you and make you suffer for life. Our God is faithful to His promises and He has a purpose.

If you're hurting now because you are trying to control things in your own strength, you're trying to fix broken relationships, you lose your job or you haven't found one yet and you are still uncertain of your future. You have financial difficulties and family issues. Or maybe you were rejected by people, rejected so many times that seems everything you do is not good enough. Maybe by circumstances, you lose someone you dearly loved, a family member, a friend. You know what, God saw it. Every bit of it. He sees you and He wants to heal you. God is going to restore you, He's only asking you one thing:

A HEART OF SURRENDER

Once you give your damaged heart to God. Be confident that He shall take care of everything. For some time, healing your soul is a process, it requires trust and constant communication with the Lord. Sometimes, it is instant, just like Apostle Paul's personal encounter with Jesus. All in all, there's a decision you have to make. Every day you must choose to have hope, joy, and believe!

ISAIAH 55:8-9 (NIV)

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."

3. YOUR PAIN WILL BE WORTH IT

It is painful because it's going to be worth it. Just like a pregnant woman, right? She endured all the pain during her labor and after she saw her baby, she has forgotten the pain. It's only a season in life. Bp. TD Jakes explained in his book, 'Crushing' that we have to walk through a process to get to the promise. He pointed out that 'crushing' is just a stage, it's not a destination. It is supported by the passage in:

ROMANS 8:18 (NIV)

"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."

FINAL THOUGHTS

I understand now why I am being reminded of my leader to fix my eyes to Jesus because, in this world, we will have trouble but we must be persistent and persevering to fight till the end, to get to the 'The Promise Land'.

OVERVIEW

You wouldn't think of these days as an opportunity to dream above and beyond. Even, I myself had struggled on doing things in order to reach my goal. The fact that we can't live a normal life or even go outside to earn a living, is a big drawback to many. However, our life does not stop just because of the pandemic; we're still breathing the same air and we're still living under the same sky. Life goes on despite any circumstances we may face.

The question is, how can you really aspire to great things and continually hope though it looks impossible? Faith! Fight the good fight of faith.

GEORGE CARLIN says:

"Some people see things that are and ask, Why? Some people dream of things that never were and ask, Why not?"

We all do have a lot of excuses in life. As you're doubting to plan and start something, others are working hard and don't have time to hesitate. If you're thinking of starting your own business, investing in the stock market, creating crafts and sell them, baked pieces of stuff, ask yourself, Why not? What's stopping you? A little bit of pessimism and you'll be far away from reaching your dreams.

RALPH WALDO EMERSON says:

"Dare to live the life you have dreamed for yourself. Go forward and make your dreams come true."

At the age of 25, I felt like I have not accomplished so much yet in my life. As I turn left and right, people of my age have their own car, advance in their career, have a lot of savings, or had financial freedom, and some have been married and have their own child or family. You might say, am I envious? Am I feel miserable? Honestly, no I'm not. Because I know that I am following God's timeline and not of this world. He's molding my character and preparing me so that when the time comes, I'll be deserving enough for all the breakthroughs and blessings He's about to give.

Going back, I can still recall those days that my mindset was so different from now. I used to compare myself to others and it made me feel less like a person. I was complaining and every step that I take was a path of uncertainty for I trust in my own strength. I keep on planning and searching for a new opportunity however I keep failing. I got angry, got tired. Mind you, I don't have a stable job for almost 1 year. And you wouldn't imagine how I manage to get up and stand on to my feet again. That was a year full of tears, and disappointment.

I remember attending several job interviews and I've passed, I was hired twice but didn't continue. I was so confused, frustrated, and afraid. I wasn't ready nor cannot commit to anything. There's something wrong inside my heart.

From there, I understand why attitude and character are very important. And why God does not answer our prayers when we're unprepared for we may end up wasting the opportunity.

You know what, I was unaware that God is working in the deepest part of me. But as I learn to become faithful to every little task that was given to me, I started to see that my visions were getting real. My dreams get bigger in my thoughts. The seeds that I planted started to grow. And yes, God grants me a job, where I can work at the pace of my comfort, not needing to go outside and still earn a dollar. I became part of a great team with a kind boss. Not only that, but the Lord has also blessed my family and my ministry. He also put important people in my life or I might say real and thoughtful friends that encourage me to grow maturely in life, in spiritual, as well as financial aspects. It is said in:

LUKE 16:10

"If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities."

LUKE 16:11-12

"And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?"

Whatever your heart desires, give it to God and see how He is going to fulfill those dreams one after another. I can't help but share His goodness so you may also discover the power in your lives by trusting Jesus. He's been so faithful to bless me with everything I have now and I knew there is more to come.

5 THINGS TO DO TO ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS

1. HOLD ON TO GOD'S PROMISE.

As a Christian, there must be a verse from the Bible where you're really holding on to. And it's not just a simple passage. Some may not understand however stand to the revelation and hold on to it. After all, it's between you and your Maker.

Last Wednesday during our church's Evening Miracle Prayer Live Streaming, I was convicted as the message comforts my spirit. It is all about trusting God and holding up tightly to the Word that we receive from the Lord. Yet, there are times when it is difficult to trust when the opposite happens, still, fight for the Word! God wants to see our faith. Never stop praying. It is said in:

HEBREWS 11:6

"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

Amen! And if you haven't got any Word yet. Desire, pray and seek. It's not yet too late. That's why it is really important that we meditate on the Word of God every day. It gives us confidence and assurance that we have a bright future and God has an excellent plan. Even if everything looks like falling apart, if you believe in the promise, you will not worry, you'll never be shaken.

As for me, I really hold on to the verse written in Luke 16:10-12. I tried to be as faithful as I can be even in every little thing, and most importantly in my tithes. The passage reminds me that when God sees how humble and responsible I am in small things, it is guaranteed that He will entrust me in greater things. That's it. What's your life verse?

2. PRAY ABOUT IT.

Easy to say, just pray. But what does it really mean to pray? You have a big dream, pray hard! Be consistent. I remember praying for almost 1 year that God may lead me to the right job and to my success. There are so many times that I've almost given up. I can't comprehend what God is doing. However, in those times, my only fuel comes from prayer. I literally speak my heart out to God. His grace sustained me and He embraced me. And now, because I always fight for my prayer life, God never failed to amaze me with unexpected blessings, favor, protection, and provision. It is said in:

MARK 11:24

"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

3. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH GOAL/ PURPOSE-DRIVEN PEOPLE.

It is true that when you are excited and motivated in pursuing your dreams, you may attract others who have the same values and interests. Know that the more you surround yourself with goal-oriented and purpose-driven individuals, the more you'll likely to become like them. Your perspective changes and you'll gain knowledge.

ROBERT KIYOSAKI says:

"If you want to go somewhere, it is best to find someone who has already been there."

This is so right! Now I truly appreciate having mentors, and leaders even at home, it can be our sisters, brothers, parents, or grandparents, and even best friends. They were given by God to lead and guide us.

4. BE RESPONSIBLE.

One of the blessings that we received during this global pandemic was our Sari-Sari Store. It was my grandma's idea and I supported her all the way for she cannot go outside to buy stuff, every week, I literally go outside to take care of the groceries and other family needs. There are times that I felt so tired about it for I have to walk far distances from home going to my destination more often especially during the enhanced community quarantine with all the boxes of groceries all by myself. Also, I'm not a morning person, but I started to wake up every day around 4:30 to 5:00am to help my grandma in the store opening. Can you imagine that? You may be sleeping so well at that time and enjoying the comfort of your bed. Well, at first, I was so disgusted. I obey half-hearted. However, as time passes, I begin to feel satisfaction and joy as I took the responsibility.

I tell you this not to give glory to my name but in God alone. I am sharing this because I realized that when we started to walk a life of purpose, success shall follow. It is truly the act of faithfulness and consistency that leads us to achieve our lifelong dreams.

In the Old Testament Rebekah, a young woman is faithfully fulfilling her current obligations till God leads her to her destiny. You can read the story by yourself in Genesis 24. Her character was already formed and she has a kind heart that is always ready to serve.

See! Be steadfast to where God called you to be. Stay to where you are right now and start with your family, rest assured you'll never regret the result of your faithfulness in performing your duties.

BP ORIEL BALLANO says:

"Your opportunity is lost when your responsibility is neglected."

"Your tomorrow's opportunity is determined by yesterday's responsibility."

"And your opportunity's size requires the same amount of your responsibility."

5. GUARD YOUR HEART.

PROVERBS 4:23

"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."

Guard your dreams, examine your motives! Just this morning I woke up so happy and excited because it's Monday, and my schedule was quite packed. It has been decided, I am about to finish this blog in the morning and will work in the afternoon from 1pm to five. But it didn't happen. Unexpectedly, we lost our internet connection, they cut us down. I got so mad. I am so focused on the plans that I've made for myself today. And my reaction was really bad.

Just now that I recognized that my motivation was rooted in selfishness. I was fuming when the way I planned didn't turn out the way I expected. Wow! I was enticed and deceived by my own selfish desires. Little did I know my heart has been contaminated again by what the world could offer. Money and riches. At the back of my mind, I don't want to skip a day without working because if I don't work, I don't get paid. See! That's why it is said in:

1 TIMOTHY 6:10

"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs."

MATTHEW 6:24

"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money."

FINAL THOUGHTS

Now I understand why it took too long for us to receive our breakthrough. There's still a lot to learn. God still has to fix our character There are so many factors that God only knows and considers before He provides a route to our success. I am so grateful that God is working on the inside of me. He wants me to become humble enough and through the Holy Spirit, He speaks. Because of what happened this morning, God revealed to me in a way that I can also share with you.

Honestly, every time I write my blogs, I am the first person who benefited from it. And my prayer is that every one of us continues to strive for the dreams God has planted in our hearts. Just remember that:

GOD SAYS, AT THE RIGHT TIME

I, THE LORD WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN.

DREAM ABOVE AND BEYOND

"Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."

(Proverbs 16:3)

OVERVIEW

For the past years, I felt like I'm just running around in circles. Seems like things were repeating themselves years after years. Have you ever experience that as well? It's like you're fighting a losing battle, your time and effort are being wasted. That doesn't sound good, right? That feeling of unsteadiness where you're unsure of where you're headed. And sometimes I do ask myself, am I even closer to my dreams? Lord, are we there yet? I am just so curious.

There is really a time in life where we may feel lost in the middle of the journey. We may stumble and fall while running the road, trying to reach the end of the line. I think that's part of the process. It's not really a bad thing after all. Day after day we are being trained by God to be the person He called us to be.

A famous preacher explained that crushing is very crucial before we prosper. Just like baby birds they aren't born already know how to fly. It is also a trial and error for them, it includes falling from the net so many times till they are able to spread their wings and soar.

Crushing caused overwhelming disappointment or embarrassment. At this stage, many people find it difficult to get through. We must view our problems and challenges in life as an opportunity to grow till we're ready for the breakthrough. If not, we may constantly feel defeated.

BRUCE LEE

"I'm moving and not moving at all. The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action."

In our life, we dare to complain a lot. Have you ever question or blame God for your miserable life? Honestly, I once did. And I am not very proud of it. I was so angry at my situation cause I feel stuck, discouraged, and worthless. However, I realized that most often, I am the creator of my own mess. Trouble is the result of my pride and disobedience to the Word. But the Lord is faithful to His promises. At that moment where I was sick, lost, and weak, He never left. He leads me back to the still waters, He showed me the way.

Know that a series of small actions is very important in achieving our goals. Remember little things matter! It is okay to assess yourself. Be honest with yourself. Admit you're wrong. Accept that you're not really going somewhere. That is the first step to move forward.

Moving forward must be really hard if you keep going back to the past. This requires trust, hope, and faith. Faith in something that we haven't seen yet.

LAILAH GIFTY AKITA

    "Hope is an enthusiastic assurance."

In other words, hope is what we get from believing. As it says in Hebrews 11:1, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." If you don't know what path to take now and you're confused, you're guilty, you're thinking that you can't start over again. You're wrong! God will make a way for you.

HOW TO GET BACK ON TRACK?

1. HUMBLE YOURSELF

This is always the first step in reconciliation. Humility is one of the hardest things to do, in this world where we are shown how to get even. Inner refusal, disapproval, objection, and arguing; contradict gentleness, kindness, and humility.

Decide now! Humble yourself and open up your heart to God. It is not yet the end. This is what God says:

ISAIAH 44:22

"I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you."

Wow! As I was reading this, I cannot explain the joy in my heart, I'm so grateful that my God and your God is a loving Father, a forgiving God. He's always there to teach us, understand us, and save us when we make mistakes. He's just waiting for you to come back. It always takes courage to humble one's self, but once you did. Rest assured that it's going to be the greatest decision you will ever make.

2. GO BACK TO WHERE YOU STARTED

I suppose you will only get lost if you repeatedly perceive defeat. If you magnify the negative and keep distracted, you're not really going anywhere, or you may, but it'll take a little longer.

However, this is the time for you to recall what's really in your heart. What is your covenant with God? Why did you choose to follow God in the first place? That will serve as your inspiration to continue the race.

Before I personally knew Christ and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, my life before was completely different. I would describe myself as someone that is fake living in cover-ups, always fearful and most of the time frustrated especially when I didn't get what I wanted. My focus was on the world's standard of beauty, relationships, and riches. I thought that all matters. I was not aware that I was living a life that doesn't please God.

God found me and still loved me at my darkest. He freed me from any bondages and strongholds. Every time I remember this, I always feel grateful and blessed. As I looked back, I am being reminded of my first love and heartbeat for the Lord. I am here to where I am now, because of Him.

If you don't know where to start. Go back in time. Reminisce how it all started - your journey of faith. It is said in:

ECCLESIASTES 12:1

"Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore."

3. CHANGE YOUR LIFE PATTERNS

Whatever you do on a daily basis is beneficial for your overall results. Don't expect that you will succeed if you're still doing the same old habits.

2 Corinthians 5:17

"This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!"

Lao Tzu says:

"If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading."

Would you not love to change for the better? No one likes to be stuck in an old dark place of our lives. And somewhere somehow, we all do want to reach a certain destination, yet why do we keep living through our old nature. Personally, the reason why I was off the track for a long time is that I tend to live in the same life patterns. I was looking forward that my life will improve however, I'm still not changing my ways.

These past few weeks, I started to write down in my planner my "Principles and Convictions". It is important for me, for it will serve as the foundation of what I believe for, just like a covenant to myself that must not be broken. I was very decisive and so sure about it. I pray for each one at a time. I ask the Holy Spirit in prayer to remind me of it instantly when temptation is near. That way I could maintain living in accordance to the Will of God. Through this, I know that I will remain firm, and no matter what, I will fulfill my promises to myself and to God.

I don't know how you live your life now. But for me, what I've shared earlier is something that really works for me. What's really important is that you must not continue settling in unrighteousness. Make a new life pattern, new practices, new attitude, it'll change you!

4. FAITH AND PATIENCE

Faith is believing while patience is the ability to endure, together it means diligently hoping that something is about to happen at the right time. It is to accept delay without getting aggravated. I heard once a pastor preaches on his sermon about:

HEBREWS 12:6,

"That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises."

He emphasized that those who are faithful and patient, inherit God's promises! I agree! Probably you know about the story of Abraham who waited for so many years and still believes in God though he and his wife are old. God promised that his descendants will be as numerous as the stars and the sand on the seashore. He waited 25 years and the Lord gave them a son, Isaac.

Jacob waited 14 years before he could be with Rachel. They seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her (Genesis 29:20).

You cannot have faith and do not have the patience or else you'll always complain all throughout the waiting process. Neither you cannot have patience and do not have faith, otherwise, it only means you're waiting for something you don't believe at all.

Been waiting for so long? Almost losing patience? Maybe you're on the right track now and you just don't realize it. You know what, you're one step closer to God's promises. Do not quit. Do not be discouraged.

5. GO BACK TO YOUR GOALS

December is the last month of the year, this is the season where I evaluate myself. Was I able to achieve some goals, are we able to create great memories or memorable experiences? It's the period to recognize how God has been faithful all throughout the challenges and victories in my life. At the same time, I am super excited because the new year is approaching. It only means that every ending has a new beginning.

When December comes, I started to wonder what would be my goal for the upcoming year. It's really good to start something new, start afresh, and don't commit the same mistakes again. During those days, I will write my plans and objectives and post them on my bedroom wall. This will serve as my motivation and target goals for the year. It looks like this:

  • The salvation of Family Members and Loved Ones
  • Spiritual Maturity (Be a Responsible Cell Leader)
  • New Work, Business, and Extra Source of Income
  • Bank Account with more than 100k Savings

Yes I know, my goals are written in general and those are my top priorities. After you write it down, you still need to create specific steps or actions in achieving each of these goals.

For example in 'The Salvation of Family Members and Loved Ones'
  • Pray for them every day.
  • Love and do good works with my family members.
  • Initiative in washing dishes, clothes, cleaning the house.
  • Be generous, responsible, and always practice humility.

There are long-term and short-term goals, you can still write your own plans now, though it's almost half of the year, it's not yet too late for you! Look, now we have the gift of time. For me, it is important for you to know what would you like to accomplish every year because if you have nothing in mind, I don't know, I may say that you will grab every opportunity that comes your way even though it is not connected to your purpose. Your little steps every day shall direct you in reaching these goals and plans. However, it is said in:

PROVERBS 19:20

"Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."

Whatever it is that you want to achieve in life, do not forget God. Always align your plans to His and always listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit to know His will for you!

6. PUT YOUR TRUST IN GOD, NOT IN MEN NOR TO YOURSELF

Why is it important to trust God above all else? Because He is sovereign and He knows everything. He seeks the motives of the heart of every human being if it is pure and acceptable to God. It is said in:

JEREMIAH 17:5-6

"Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord. They are like stunted shrubs in the desert, with no hope for the future. They will live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land."

We tend to put our trust in other people, our satisfaction, and our own happiness, we used to put it in the hands of a person or even a situation. And when they're gone, we may feel lost, we may suffer. And it's not easy, it'll be hard to adjust and move forward, especially when you put your confidence in something that will not last.

And it is not wrong to rely on others, in fact, we were taught to love our neighbors as we love ourselves, we were taught to lift up and encourage each other. The only danger in trusting man is when you completely put your dependence on them and you forget about God.

On the other hand, confidence in one's self may become vain when you add pride and follow the wrong motives of the heart. When your master is your own and you're no longer listening to the voice of God within you.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Know that whatever it is that you have done. God will never abandon you. He does not blame you for your weaknesses and He wants to bring you back to His original design for man. It is to live in the presence of the Almighty.

GO BACK.

IF YOU'RE ASTRAY, FIND YOUR WAY BACK TO GOD.

HE'S WAITING FOR YOU.

WITH ARMS WIDE OPEN.
